Our History
Established in 1963, Vaughn Meadows is located in midtown Montgomery, Alabama. Conveniently located one mile south of Interstate 85 at the Perry Hill exit, our neighborhood is ideally situated for fast access to both downtown and shopping.
Midtown living at its best, our neighborhood is at the center of the metropolitan area. Montgomery's historic downtown is located just four miles to the west while a wide array of restaurants, entertainment and shopping lies to the east off both Eastern Boulevard and Taylor Road. The upscale Zelda Road shopping area is just one mile west, while the boutique shops and independent restaurants of historic Old Cloverdale lie just a little beyond that.
Vaughn Meadows currently has 502 single-family, custom-designed homes spread over 432 acres of gently rolling land, shaded by a variety of long-established trees. Our neighborhood offers a broad array of housing options from charming mid-century ranches to elegant, contemporary Georgians, and there is truly a home for everyone here. The Association’s mission is the enhancement of all aspects of living in the Vaughn Meadows neighborhood, including beautification, security, friendliness and fun! While seasonal landscaping projects give neighbors a chance to get involved in their communities, the two major annual events, Spring Party and the December Holiday Party, provide the friendliness and fun.
